Partnership, Not Correction

Everyone is arguing about the protocol. Fast or don't. Natural or HRT. Lift heavy or run it off. I want to back up one step, because the fight itself is the wound.

Stacy Sims has a line that reorganized a whole field. Women are not small men. The standard plan, the one most of us inherited, was built on male bodies and scaled down. The dose, the fasting window, the training block, the recovery curve. Shrunk and handed over as if size were the only variable. It is not. A woman's body runs on a cycle and a series of thresholds. To train it on a borrowed flat pace is to fight the very system you are trying to strengthen.

Here is the part that stopped me. That is a five hundred year old idea.

The alchemists called it spagyrics. Separate, purify, recombine. You took the whole plant apart, cleaned each part, burned the spent body to ash to recover its mineral salt, and then put it back together. Whole. Salt and all. The medicine was never the isolated molecule. The medicine was the recombination.

You cannot heal a living system by reducing it to a part and standardizing the dose.

The cycle is the alchemy

The deeper rhyme is this. Solve et Coagula, the alchemist's motto, dissolve and recombine, is not a phrase a woman has to learn. It is a phrase her body already speaks. The follicular phase is coagula: build, intensity, the strength to push. The luteal phase and the bleed are solve: soften, release, recover, let go. The operation I craft slowly in a jar, her body runs every month, and then again, at a larger scale, across the passage we call perimenopause. The system is not breaking down. It is performing the oldest alchemy there is.

So the move was never to push harder against the rhythm. It was never to cut the calories, add the cardio, override the signal, and call the override discipline. That is the isolated molecule in physiological form. You amputate the whole in pursuit of the part, and then you wonder why the medicine stopped working.

The move is to match the dose to the rhythm. To replete the salt body: the minerals, the protein, the raw materials hormones are actually built from. To support when support is needed, and to stop pretending that natural and modern are enemies. They share a father. They always did.

Partnership, not correction

Your body is not betraying you. It is communing with you.

It is not asking to be corrected.

It is asking for partnership.

If this names where you are, the next step is one conversation.
